So-Called Straight People

On one hand, you have straight people.  On the other hand, you have gay people.  On yet another hand, you have straight people who say gay stuff as an insult.  There's nothing more confusing than when a "straight person" says the gayest crap in the history of the world.

For example, there's a popular insult where someone bellows, "kiss my ass!"  Where did this come from and how is it an insult is beyond this writer's comprehension.  But it sounds powerful and is funny, so the "logic" can be overlooked.

There is another insult, however, that simply defies logic.  That's when a man tells another man to suck his "sex organ".  This writer only has one question.  Why, just why would a supposedly straight man get mad another man and tell him to suck his "sex organ"?  Just how mad do you have to be where you're telling other men to perform oral sex on you?  How do you, as a straight man, reach into the deep recesses of your mind and pull out that gayest thing you can say and believe it's a valid insult?  This is where thinking before you speak could be useful.  Play out the scenario in your mind a say to yourself, "this doesn't exactly sound straight," before you belch out something like this.  For the record, this writer has never told another man to suck his "thing" in anger.

As disturbing as it is for a "straight man" to tell a man to suck his "sex organ", it's even more disturbing when a woman says it.  This writer has actually heard members of the "fairer sex" get mad at someone and tell them to suck their "male sex organ".  Yep.  WOMEN are now telling people to suck their "MALE sex organ".  WTF, women?  But then again, with the transgender movement catching fire, a few women may actually have a "male sex organ" to suck.  As a straight male it's scary to hear women (you know, those gentle creatures who can do no wrong) speak like this because some of them may really be men in disguise.

What's the point?  This writer simply wants to know when it because okay for straight people to talk like that to each other.  It's disgusting, cringy, and just plain doesn't make sense for straight people to be talking like that.  Maybe this is what happens when you kick father's out of the house or put him in a position of weakness, because a strong father would tell his kids to stop talking like that.  That's an issue for another time though, so this writer will keep things short and end it here.

Until next time...

Terrible Friends

Everybody's had at least one friend that they didn't want.  You'll just be going about your day and then you'll see that person and say to yourself, "Aww, crap!  Maybe he didn't see me.  I can still escape."  Then you find out he did see you and you can't escape.  For then on, you're in for a night of talking to a needy, overbearing burden.  Surely this writer isn't alone.  Right?

This writer has had several terrible friends.  For example, there was this one friend who simply wouldn't stop talking.  This writer doesn't mean that guy who you can't get away from because he always has something to say.  No, this writer means the guy who talks in run-on sentences.  They simply don't take a breath, leaving you no place to jump in, hench you can't have a real conversation.  It just makes you want to say, "Shut up and let me address the first point you made."  It's gets to the point where you don't want to talk to them.  To add insult to injury, they like to talk close to you.  This might make you want to say, "I'm not your gay lover.  I don't need to look longingly into your eyes to hear you.  Give me a few inches of space."

Then you have the guy who wants to hog all your stuff while not buying their own.  The writer remembers a friend who would seek him out and use his laptop to do dumb searches that this writer wasn't interested in.  That fact alone wasn't so bad.  The bad part is that they took up all this writer's time with these searches, which kept this writer from writing.  This writer eventually had to say, "I got this computer so I could write blog entries, not see who Janet Jackson is screwing.  I don't about this crap you're showing me.  Buy your own."  Dealing with this guy was so draining, two hours of interacting with him was like putting in a sixteen hour shift at work.  It was that bad.

There's almost the friend whose suspect.  He insists he's not gay, all while saying the gayest stuff in the history of mankind.  There was this one guy who said he was going to make this writer have sex with a prostitute.  He then went on to say he wanted to watch, listen to this writer scream out with pleasure, and watch this writer walk around in a bathrobe.  Keep in mind, this was a "straight" male saying some stuff that bordered on male rape.  Over the years, this writer has talked to a number of males and has not come across ANY straight male who talks like that.  Yeah...good riddance to this pervert.

Finally, there is the controlling friend.  You know, that guy who wants to control every aspect of your life.  This writer had a friend who tried to dictate everything he did.  As if that wasn't bad enough, this guy got angry when this writer simply said he was a fan of the Detroit Pistons.  That's right.  Simply being a Pistons fan was enough to make him angry.  Needless to say, this writer got out of this ludicrous arrangement pretty quickly.

So, as you can see, not all friends are good.  Some "friends" can be downright toxic.  Some people hang on to these "friends" because they themselves are so desperate for friends, they will suffer for years just to say they have some.  Personally, this writer felt relieved when he shed these viruses disguising themselves as "friends".  It's no exaggeration to say that this writer would rather spend the rest of his life alone in Antarctica than spend five minutes with these individuals again.

In the end, don't try to be friends with everyone, because not everyone is worth being friends with.  Also, if you have bad friends, don't be afraid to rid yourself of them.  It's not always that they are bad people, just a bad fit for you.  You'll feel a lot better mentally and physically.  And no, it's not about hurting people's feelings.  Admittedly, their feelings may or may not get hurt when you break it off, but why should you have to suffer to prevent that?  You don't have to live with them, but you do have to live with yourself.  If you're suffering because this person is a pain, why would you want to live with that?

Until next time...
