Election Aftermath

This writer has seen a number of things since Donald Trump's victory.  There have been protests, violence, Calexit talks, people (supposedly) fleeing to Canada, and other stuff going on.  People have taken beatings because they voted for Mr. Trump.  And of of there's stuff like this:

Does this look or sound like what intelligent people do?

This writer remembers during the third debate, the moderator asked if Mr. Trump would except the result of the election.  This was said under the assumption (and quite frankly, expectation) that Mr. Trump would lose.  Of course Mr. Trump won (a result he without a doubt accepted) and now it's the other side who won't accept the result, even though Mrs. Clinton herself did.  Sounds like hipocrasy to this writer.

Not sure how Trump supporters would have taken it if they lost, but you can't ask them to lose graciously when you can't do the same even as your leaders are doing it.  The Democratic party is moving on.  They're already talking about the 2020 election.  It would be smart for Clinton supporters to do the same.  If you don't like the result, get out and vote next time (because a number of the protesters, if not the majority of them, didn't even vote).

The kicker in the whole thing is that Mr. Trump (the one we're told is pushing hate) hasn't even done anything yet.  He hasn't built that wall, deported a single illegal immigrant, started a race war (though he hasn't condemned those with that mind set), or repealed Obamacare (which he seems to be backpeddling on).  He hasn't even taken office yet and there's no guarantee he'll do any of that (but he'll try for that wall).  All the destruction, disorder, and most of the division is coming from the protesters, man the "evil" man they are protesting.

Simply put, let's give the man a chance before we break out the torches and pitchforks.  He may actually turn out to be a good president.  It's equally likely he'll be a crappy president.  Yes, he has a questionable history, but so does Mrs. Clinton.  Personally, this writer doesn't think he will bring about the doom and gloom the protesters seem to think he will. He'll do some things we'll like and some we won't, just as every president before him and every president that will ever be.  If he does fulfill protesters' prophecies, then make sure he doesn't get a second term.  It's really that simple.

Until next time...

Election Results

First, this writer would like to congratulate President Elect Donald Trump on his victory in the 2016 election.  Mr. Trump overcame a lot of obstacles to get here.  He had to overcome a history of bigotry and sexism, a left-slanted media (just watch the replays of the debates and say otherwise), a better opponent who was (very slighty) better, and even being betrayed by his own party.  This man deserves a beer and a high-five.  The next four year probably won't be great (again), hopefully they make sense.  This writer doesn't believe it will be as bad as people are already saying it will be.

As for Mrs. Clinton, she should be hanging her head in shame.  She (a lifelong politician) lost to an all-American idiot.  Thirty plus years of being in polictics amounts to that.  Well, as Mr. Trump cleverly said during the third debate, "She has experience, but it's bad experience."  She didn't win 100% of Latinos (whom he called terrorists, by the way) to a racist and lost white women (her own demograpghic) to a sexist.  She screwed up so bad that she lost the white woman demographic, which she should have won in a landslide.  That is embarassing.

Looking at the numbers, however, this whole mess reeks of 2000.  Remember how Al Gore lost to George Bush, even though the people voted for Gore.  This is the same thing.  Mrs. Clinton (as crappy is she was) won the popular election 48% to 47%.  Neither candadate reached 50%  of the vote (which should be shameful) but the American people themselves picked Mrs. Clinton, just as they did Mr. Gore sixteen years ago.  Those aren't the only two election where that's happened, but the writer just finds it weird that a candidate can win the people and still lose the presidency.

The electoral college is what cost her.  That's nice and all, but how is the electoral college so powerful and the American people so weak when it comes to the election.  The electoral college was designed to prevent smaller states from being run over by bigger states in elections, so this writer understands why it exists, but the balance of power seems off when compared with that of the people.  538 people have more power than 300 million?  Something about that just seems wrong.

Some are saying that the electoral college should be done away with.  This writer won't go that far, but he does believe that the popular vote (the people's voice) should carry more weight than the electoral college.  The people used their voice to say, "We want Mrs. Clinton."  The system turned around and told the people, "shut up!"

Anyway, congratulations Mr. Trump.  Mrs Clinton (pats her on the back), better luck in 2020.

Until next time...

Election Day

Well, D-day is almost here.  It's (supposedly) the most important election in American history, with the two worst candidates in American history at its center.  In the left corner, wearing the blue trunks, we have Hillary "The Criminal" Clinton.  In the right corner, wearing the red trunks, we have "Big Bigot" Donald Trump.  Yep, this is what it comes down to.

How did we get here?  Both sides passed on a number of better candidates.  Bernie Sanders would have been a much better candidate for the Democrats.  Heck, the Dems didn't even listen to Martin O'Malley (because the mederators for the Democratic debates conveniently ignored him).  He may have been better than Mrs. Clinton, but thanks to the media (they never stop), we'll never know.

The Republicans, on the other hand, literally sent the worse candidate they could find.  John Kasich, Ben Carson, and Chris Christie were all better candidates.  Heck, Deez Nuts would have probably been better (and funnier).  Any of those choice (including Mr. Nuts, sadly) probably would have blow Ms. Clinton out of the water.  It's almost like the Republicans said, "Who can we send out to lose us the next four years?"  They answered by trotting out Mr. Trump.  If Ms. Clinton wasn't the representative for the Dems, Mr. Trump would get crushed.

Simply put, both Democrats and Republicans put their worst foot forward and it will be the America citizens (not the political parties themselves) who will pay the price.  The third and fourth party suck too, otherwise they'd be right in the thick of things in a year where they could have realistically won.  Gary Johnson seemed to be picking up steam for a stretch, but he fell by the quickly wayside.  Jill Stein...um...who?  Mr. Johnson and Mrs. let themselves down badly, because they didn't push hard enough.  Mr. Johnson is especially disappointing because he was almost there.  He almost got enough attention to be taken seriously and didn't do diddly.

However, it's pointless to worry about how we got here now, because we are here and that's not changing (sadly).  Worrying about the past is an issue for future elections.  Right now, it's all about dealing with these present candidates.  So, what will America do?

People can write in a candidate.  Heck, you can even write in yourself.  Imagine if every voter wrote themselves in.  That would cause one heck of a headache for the government and make the statement, "Quit giving us crappy candidates.  When you send us good candidates, we'll give you the power back."  This writer isn't sure if the American people as a whole can legally be president, but that would be awesome if it were possible.  This writer thinks that 4 to 8 years with no president would be a great learning experience for all involved (both citizens and government).

In the end, as long as you vote, you've done your job as an American citizen.  Vote for Hillary, vote for Trump, vote for yourself, but get out there and vote.  Reach deep into the recesses of your soul and pick the candidate you want (not the candidate everyone else wants or the candidate you're pressured into picking).  Also, whatever you do, don't forget about local elections, because that's where the real power is.  Vote or not, it's up to each of us as Americans to decide.  Good luck, America.

Until next time...

False Rape

Rape.  One of the most evil things a human being can do.  For a human being (not just women, because men get raped, too) to force themselves sexually is just villianous.  Make no mistake, rape is vile and people who do such an act deserve to burn in the deepest recesses of Hell, no matter how hard they pray for forgiveness.

What about those who claim they were raped, but it turns out to be a lie.  Yep, that's right.  Not everyone who get accused of it actually does it.  This writer has seen multiple stories where people tell straight up lies.  Bill Cosby (who this writer could still be wrong on), Brian Banks, Nate Parker (by the way, you'll find a trend if you search these names), and others have all been lied on by vindictive women.  While women aren't the only ones who do this, they are the primary perps.

Why do they do this?  Any number of reasons.  Maybe the sex was bad.  Maybe she thought the sex would lead to a relationship that the other party didn't agree to (which is a different kind of rape).  Perhaps the person is hurting and just wants someone else to hurt (which seems to be the case with Nate Parker).  This writer's personal favorite is when the 'victim' just wants attention (which is what happened to Brian Banks).  The 'victim' can literally cry rape because the sky is blue and be believed with no facts (and sometimes the person they accuse isn't even real).

What worse is that the government and public at large aid these 'victims' in their false narratives.  The government makes BS laws that encourage 'victims' (women in particular) to lie without penalty.  That's right.  These people get to go to court and lie (which is a crime itself) and get away with it.  How is this fair?  What part of this makes sense?  How are these 'victims' not rotting is jail for lying to a judge.

Even worse is that the general public will try to make you feel ashamed for not automatically believing these 'victims'.  This writer remembers when he stood out and didn't say Mr. Cosby was a rapist.  All this writer said was he wanted to hear all the fact before he took the women's side.  People proceed to say that people like this writer make it harder for victims (real victims) to come out.  Just so just understand, these people are saying we should crucify a person based solely on heresay.  No proof, no witnesses, no footage, just heresay.  Garbage.  To this day, they still haven't proven that Mr. Cosby had anything but consensual sex with these 'victims'.  So you're expected to hate a man who innocence is only being proven by each person that comes out against him.  How does that work?

This writer personally knows someone who was accused of rape.  Naturally, his 'victims' were caught lying because he had solid proof he didn't do what they said he did.  What happened to them?  Diddly squat, that's what.  Meanwhile, this writer's friend's life is ruined over a lie.  He degree, his job experience, and his good reputation meant nothing, even after he was proven innocent.

That's another thing.  The accused can never move on, even after proven innocent.  He (or she) will always be a rapist in the eye of the public despite not really being a rapist.  Let this writer say it again.  Your life can be ruined over a lie and you should never be allowed to recover.  You're supposed to wallow in the shame of a crime you didn't commit and die broken and poor.  That is bull stuff with a capital 'B'.  This should be scary, particularly if you're a straight male of any race.

This post is getting long, so this writer will end it.  False rape is just is bad as real rape, because in the end, lives will be ruined.  Reputations and livelihoods will be destroyed and jail time will be served for lies.  Actually, false rape is worse than real rape, because unlike real rape, the real criminals are never brought to justice.  And the government, courts, and public think this is okay.

Until next time...
