There is an attack on masculinity in America, that much can't be denied. Ever since the 80's men have been under attack. The media (surprise, surprise) has led the charge in this attack, backed by the government. This writer noticed it as a kid and now more than ever, young boys (and grown men, as well) are made to feel that their masculinity is something to be ashamed of or to be suppressed.
Naturally, being heterosexual is under attack along with masculinity. Now this writer doesn't have a problem with homosexuality, but people are going so far as to say heterosexuality is something to be ashamed of. They say liking the opposite sex is dirty and unnatural. They don't explain why(maybe they can't), but being heterosexual is something to be looked down upon.
People will even go so far as to blame straight, white males for everything that's gone wrong, going wrong, and will ever go wrong. One youtuber went so far as to equate being a heterosexual male to being a racist. This writer isn't sure how that works or how being a straight (usually white) male means you're a racist. In the words of a black woman on a show I forgot the name of, "What is it that you want straight white males to do?" If you're white, have a penis, and are straight, you're the cause of all evil? That's essentially what's being said. How is this fair? It isn't fair and there's no logic behind such a statement.
It's not just straight white males, but straight black males who have to deal with this garbage. "If you're a straight black male, you must like to beat and rape women," someone once said. Don't believe it, just ask Bill Cosby and Nate Parker, among others. Once again, who does that work and how's that fair? How does being a straight black male mean you want to rape women? Does anyone see how stupid this is getting?
Oh, but it still gets even more stupid. A youtuber went so far as to say being straight is a construct of white supremacy. WTF? The stupid things some people say. That is a slap in the face of both God and science(two diametrically opposed concepts), as well as any non-white straight person that has ever existed. Do you see what happens when you let the media (surprise, surprise) raise your children?
In the end, heterosexuality is as natural to some as homosexuality is to others. Stand up and say, "I'm male! I'm straight! Get used to it!" The same goes for those that happen to be homosexual. Let's all have pride in what we are instead of shaming others for what they are.
Until next time...
I love all these new constructs. How do people with a mind buy into things that are just being made up? And they act like people of faith are loony and believe fairytales? How is there stuff any less made up?
