The Media

Well, it's that time.  You knew this was coming, so don't act surprised.  If you remember way back to to this writer's first post, you'll remember what this writer said about dealing with BS.  You can either sift through it and reduce it's effects or you can be or farmer and use it.  It's time to address one of those farmers; the media.  With the possible exception of government, there has been not a bigger purveyor of BS than the media.

Back when this writer was a little writer, his grandmother told him something he didn't understand at the time.  "There are devils on TV," she said.  This writer didn't take her seriously at the time, a result of being a stupid kid at the time.  Now, as a somewhat enlightened adult, this writer realizes she was right.

The media pushes a number of things, most of which are harmful to certain demographics and determental to the forward progess of humanity as a whole.  They push sexuality on kids, inferiority on men, stereotypes on demographics, and just plain old division on the entire human race.

News organizations are currently in the middle of pushing a race war.  Fox News is leading the way in this area.  They call themselves "fair and balanced".  The truth is that they are unfair and presented by the unbalanced.  All they do is push hatred, bigotry, and iniquity.  They cater to the lowest common demonator of America, as evidence by them defending psychopaths such as Dylan Roof and George Zimmerman.  They trot out their female reporters in the shortest possible skirts to cater to males sex drive to help spew this hatred.  Ironically, these same women are now complaining about sexual harassment, but that's an issue for another time.

Another thing that this writer notices about Fox News is that these people are so angry.  What are they so angry for?  What has anyone done to this people to make them so mad?  They yell until they turn red.  They overtalk and cut off their guests, killing any chance at intelligent discussion or debate.  This is why this writer calls them unbalanced.  These reporters are textbook loons.  Bill O'Reilly is the only one who passes as watchable.

MSNBC is only slightly better.  Yes, they cut off there guests when they're about to say something that doesn't line up with what they say, so intelligent debate isn't really possible here.  However, their reporters are generally calmer.  They just don't seem as anrgy as the people on Fox News.  The women are presented in a more respectful manner, so we can take them seriously as reporters instead as using them as inspiration for the next jerk off session.  In short, while they still lean far in one direction, they're closer to fair and balanced than Fox.

Well, this is a big pile, the biggest this writer has ever had to dig into.  So big, this writer can't fit it all in one short post.  Stay tuned for future posts on this topic.

Until next time...
